Article Marketing – Does it Still Work?
Being into search engine optimization for over 7 years now, I came to realize that a very important part of that is writing and publishing articles. Everybody loves a helpful and useful article like a how to guide for example. If the articles you write and publish are helpful, then the readers will be pleased and click on your links for additional information.
This, however, only works if the articles are well written. Some of the people who are into SEO have other people write the articles for them so they don’t have to. However, if you have some free time and you don’t want to pay a lot of money to someone who will write the articles for you, you can write them yourself.
To do that successfully you will need some to know some of the basic things you need to do:
1. Research – If you are not completely familiar with the subject you are writing about or you are not sure about some part you should do a research. Keep in mind that your article will be read by a lot of people so any misleading information will be a bad mistake. Make sure everything you say is completely true and that will earn the trust of readers.
2. Spelling & Grammar – This is one of the most important things to consider when writing articles. It is very important that you double check your article after it is written and before you submit it. People don’t like reading articles full of mistakes. Make sure your sentences are complete, they end when they are supposed to, and you haven’t made any kind of mistakes before submitting.
3. Paragraphs – Make sure you use paragraphs the right way. Separate your article into paragraphs so it is easier to read. Use bullets, lists and bold or italic text when needed. That will make it a pleasure for other people to read your articles.
Also, writing is not all. Submitting your articles is also highly important. If you want to submit them to a certain blog as a guest post you should take into consideration a couple of things.
1. Style – Read some of the previous posts in the blog and make sure the style of your article is similar.
2. Audience – Check out some of the comments and get familiar with the people reading the blog. Get a sense of the atmosphere and try to write your articles that way. That will make your articles unique but at the same time make people feel like they know you and you are a part of the community. Try to blend in but stand out at the same time.
Articles can influence your ratings a lot and it is a big part of link building and respectively search engine optimization. Do not ignore articles since they can help you a lot when trying to achieve better results.
Despite the fact that some of the Google SEO experts (in Denmark, the people commonly refer to it as Google SEO eksperter) claim that article marketing is in the past, if you manage to deliver quality content and get listed in the best article directories, I can assure you that you will achieve great results.

I find a good title is one of the most important causes of people reading and picking up my articles.
i found also it is good to create a blog as
I wonder about article marketing valus for seo if it is on foreign websites.
Would you recommend just going after 1 article directory site and pouring all your focus and content into just that 1? Or take a more holistic approach and go after a bunch of them? This is the problem that I seem to run into whenever I want to launch a new article marketing campaign.
I have been using article marketing even before automated tools have been developed. I see that everybody since then have been ranking even with article marketing alone. What would you suggest to still do it manually or to do it automated? If automated could you suggest any submitters?
I’ve been doing article marketing online and in print since 2005. It works if you follow the tips in this article and also if you submit to high value, on topic sites. I’ve used keyword links in the byline to increase ranking in search engines. Article marketing helps in many different ways.
I think it’s definitely something that doesn’t hurt to do, but it’s only one part of a bigger strategy. Especially with article marketing you can simply rewrite about a topic you’re already familiar in a short 300-400 word post and get a link pretty easily, just takes a bit of good ol fashioned work.
Do you recommend using spinners to submit to the top 20 or so article directories, or just a few higher quality articles?
I do wonder how a Danish quote with a fine link into a Danish SEO company site, ended up in a English article regarding how to build great user friendly content-articles from the point of view of the user’s needs and demands.
Is that any kind of mistake or just a proven fact that this actually work with the external linkbuilding?
I whole heartedly agree with Jackie on this one… I think it’s a waste of time for new users to read these kind of articles, when their only obvious purpose is to gain links.
The only funny thing about this, is that they used to have a sender on, now they don’t …
In the interest of daily SEO tip – I would recommend a harder review of articles.
The article marketing can establish you such as expert in your field. This is the main advantage. About the SERP ranking….or back links… I’m not sure.
The external pages of article directories has a low PR without any back links. Usually 99% of articles is “hot air” nothing special. Old stuff and bla..bla… how you can make a big money in 7 days.
There are a lot of new ways to do the good public relation for your business.
Hi,
I believe that article marketing still works so long as you provide quality and quantity. I have also find multiple directory submissions to work for me.
Thank you
Dr Joe
The article have to berelevant and usefull for users.
Article marketing still works to a very large extent. If you write content which your readers find enjoyable and informative then they will visit your site more often or even tell other people about your site. This of course can make your site to rank higher.
Article marketing can be useful in every link building campaign. However, it should be combined with other SEO techniques in order to work well.
In addition to that, all content used for that purpose, have to be 100% unique, otherwise the whole strategy can have quite negative impact on the website.
There are quite a lot of decent websites left, so I don’t think that article marketing is dead. Instead, it all depends on the way of doing this.
