Hello world! Isn’t that the way you begin every new Wordpress blog? Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve started a new SEO blogging project about SEO, over 5 years to be exact, and Hello World seems like a great way to begin.
Welcome to Daily SEO Tip, a new SEO blog launched by me and one of my favorite bloggers in the world, Ann Smarty.
Why Daily SEO Tip?
5 years ago I launched Search Engine Journal as a passionate project to establish myself as a blogger and document all of the great SEO research I was doing. Over time, SEJ grew into the blog it is today, with 10,000 readers and 20,000 RSS subscribers. SEJ now is a robust and competitive publication in the search marketing publishing world, and the expectations which such a blog can have can be overwhelming at times.
So, in an effort to keep blogging fresh, and do some new and exciting things, I decided to launch a new blog which would only require one post per day, and will give subscribers that one post to expect. Starting over fresh? Not really, it’s more like finding my blogging muse again in a new and fun project, and seeing if a burning inner question holds true; “if I had not started blogging about search in 2003, would SEJ be the blog it is today?”
What better way to answer such a burning inner question than taking the leap to launching a new search blog … let’s see how it goes.
Instead of going at it alone, I’ve hooked up with my good friend Ann Smarty who will be assisting with the blog and is my partner in crime on this project. Along with Ann & I, I’ll also be asking for the assistance of our readers and friends to actively contribute discussion and conversation with each post in our comment section, and I’ll do the best job I can do to keep commenting organic, with organic linking in the comments.
Organic Commenting FTW!
I’ve always felt that commenters deserve the recognition and reward of their time put into the discussion with a natural backlink, so we’ll be “Do Following” the comments (I hate using that term). Don’t be surprised if over time we decide to require registration to comment, as registration makes combating spam much more easier.
You may also notice the simplicity of Daily SEO Tip’s template. Thanks to FreshPress, we’re able to deliver our meaty tips without the clutter of too many ads or gadgets, in a sleek Twitter-esque design for easy reading, commenting and processing.
So, welcome to Daily SEO Tip, I hope you find our blog fun, refreshing and a transparent SEO destination to visit and contribute to on a daily basis. Please take the time to subscribe via RSS, favorite us, or give us a Thumbs Up on StumbleUpon to get things going.
Interested in listing your SEO blog on our blogroll? Well, we’re starting fresh on the blogroll too! Just leave a comment below and we’ll be sure to add you!

On a totally unrelated note, you have just proven to me that CommentLuv actually serves a purpose. Yes, very true. CommentLuv leads to more depth and following links from good well thought comments, which means that actually commenting on blogs read by bloggers can drive traffic and links to your own blog, if one of those bloggers blogs about what they found linked from your comment.
Whew!
Gotta love it!

Alysson Reply:

I have had CommentLuv installed on my blog for months now - and for that very reason! I think it not only rewards people for taking the time to comment on my blog posts, but also gives them incentive to leave better comments and give people more reason to click on the link to their latest blog post. It’s a win-win for everyone!

“If You Have a 1,000-page Website, You Might Have 1,000 Visitors/month.”
How Much Money Would You Make Each Month, if You Had 60,000 Webpages in Play…?
60,000 Webpages = 60,000 Visitors/Month? (Yes, it’s highly possible!)
If You Averaged a Sale From Every 100 Visitors, You Would Make 600 Sales Monthly.
If You Made Just $20 per Sale, This Would Mean $12,000/month.
And Ongoing Sales Would Cost Your Nothing…
