I would say botw.org, dir.yahoo.com and business.com are the directories that can pass some trust to a website? Although I believe that submitting to those directories has been less important recently, I think it still helps.

Make sure google is linking to the canonical page for your keywords.
A few days or weeks after your targeted page goes live, use Google search to see if the page you determine is the most important for a certain term, in fact comes up first in the Google SERPs.
Search like this: site:yoursitename.com Your Targeted Keywords
If another page on your site is coming up first, then you need to do more keyword optimizing on your canonical page (I check this at SEOMoz.com http://www.seomoz.org/term-target) and link into your canonical page with better anchor text on your internal links.

Know which keywords are already working for you (in Google Analytics, etc.) and find low hanging fruit to optimize for. Maybe there’s a keyword you’re on the second page for but it’s still sending a decent amount of traffic. That keyword probably wouldn’t take much effort to get to page one, or even in the top three. Oh … and blog!

I just found out today that videos are 53 times more likely to appear on the first page of search results than regular pages (Source: Business Week http://bitly.com/z4K42). So if you are working on video, make sure it’s well optimized with good file names, keyword-rich tags, useful and insightful captions, transcripts, and be sure to allow users to embed it on their own sites.

Want more traffic to your sites?
Pop open Google, search for phrases that you want to link for or already do now and simply just ask the top 10 sites for a link to yours. Yea sounds simple but sometimes I can get a link or 2 that way. Of course you can get creative on how you ask but that’s where I always start.

This is a very overlooked keyword and behavior monitoring strategy. You can really unearth what’s missing from your site and its usability, along with some new keywords which you may have never thought of.
Thanks Frank!

When designing a new website, use external cascading style sheets. With only minimum code in the HTML page itself, your actual content, containing all your keywords, will be high up on the page close to the title tag and not buried beneath dozens of lines of code and scripts. Google likes easy to find content!

I’m certain that a lot of people dont know how to use the title tags properly. I have seen too many companies put irrevelant keywords or even their company name. Who searches for your company name on Google? Waste of space on title tag
I put a lot of article directories, and how to find good ones.
Everyone submits their content everywhere, but only a few directories are worth submitting to.
Another post i placed that only a few people know about.
WORD OF ADVICE - STOP clogging up titles for page, blog post, article, etc with IRREVELANT WORDS!
Title should be FULLY optimized with ONLY keywords.
The description is where you write what the article/post/page is about.

I think search engine optimization; web page usability and accessibility can all be accomplished by doing the same things. Things, which make web page accessible, also optimize it for search engines and things done for usability also make pages more accessible and optimized for search engines.

Everyday, I’ve obliged myself to read at least one article a day, relative to SEO tools.. And as far as I know, the basics on SEO were article submission, directory submission, press release, social bookmarking….and you can never deny the fact that among these tools, there really is, the best tool among them. And in my own point of view, I find social sites as the best of them all. Not only that you get to give your site more traffic, you tend to establish good reputation among other blog or website owners, but then again, this will never be possible without the help from you of course. Management requires from this sites, and that’s mainly the reason why it is called social sites for you have to participate socially from your fellow members..
[Reply]
Hey its really an amazing tips. I really like it. Thanks f or sharing. Keep it up

Research the keywords you wish to rank for and check to see what the competition is like (use “keyword” in quotes in Google Search) and it should give you a rough idea of how many other pages compete for this term.
Next write something so good that it leaps off the page and submit it to something like ezinearticles so webmasters fall over themselves to use it on their site.
This is the most natural form of link building and you often get followed links from relevant sites. OR, send you copy directly to a site you want a link from. Remember, use that anchor text link
[Reply]
Getting relevant anchor text for your link is the key for success. But do not spam it.
