  70. Make sure google is linking to the canonical page for your keywords.

A few days or weeks after your targeted page goes live, use Google search to see if the page you determine is the most important for a certain term, in fact comes up first in the Google SERPs.

Search like this: site:yoursitename.com Your Targeted Keywords

If another page on your site is coming up first, then you need to do more keyword optimizing on your canonical page (I check this at SEOMoz.com http://www.seomoz.org/term-target) and link into your canonical page with better anchor text on your internal links.

Everyone submits their content everywhere, but only a few directories are worth submitting to.

And as far as I know, the basics on SEO were article submission, directory submission, press release, social bookmarking….and you can never deny the fact that among these tools, there really is, the best tool among them. And in my own point of view, I find social sites as the best of them all. Not only that you get to give your site more traffic, you tend to establish good reputation among other blog or website owners, but then again, this will never be possible without the help from you of course. Management requires from this sites, and that’s mainly the reason why it is called social sites for you have to participate socially from your fellow members..

  138. Research the keywords you wish to rank for and check to see what the competition is like (use “keyword” in quotes in Google Search) and it should give you a rough idea of how many other pages compete for this term.

Next write something so good that it leaps off the page and submit it to something like ezinearticles so webmasters fall over themselves to use it on their site.

This is the most natural form of link building and you often get followed links from relevant sites. OR, send you copy directly to a site you want a link from. Remember, use that anchor text link

  140. Getting relevant anchor text for your link is the key for success. But do not spam it.
