How To Get Likes On a Brand New Facebook Page

Facebook pages are a popular place for communication in any genre, from entertainment to education. A hotbed for debate, a great place to promote your brand and a way of gaining visibility, whatever your purpose it is an important step in making it in social media. Everyone who is running some kind of social media campaign should have one.
But once you get it started, there is the problem of gaining members. This isn’t as easy as you might think, as just being active in different communities is not enough. Though it does help to speak to people through other pages, not promoting your page directly, but instead engaging in the conversation through the page account. That can be a good way to establish yourself in the first stages of your page development.
To start to really get the ball rolling, you need a bit more of a concentrated effort (to start, write this Facebook for business guide from Dirjournal website directory). Luckily, there are tried and proven methods of doing this.
Begin an Advertising Campaign
You have doubtlessly seen the little ads along the side of the page when you log into your Facebook account. These are incredible helpful in drawing attention to your page, and users are more likely to click on these than they are many other ads. Facebook is also rather affordable, letting you pay per click and set up a budget that cannot be overshot unless you allow an increase in that amount. Other benefits include the ability to better target a demographic thanks to the information provided by the social media site, and being able to link the ads to either your Facebook page or a third party site.
Direct From Your Website
Most people starting a Facebook page will have an actual site or blog that it is connected to, though not everyone. They will also have other social media profiles. Interconnecting all of these sources should be accomplished by direction from each side. Put a link to your Facebook page on your site or other profiles. That way your regular users who might be unaware of your page will be able to find it easily.
Hold a Contest
There is no quicker way to inject some energy into your page than holding a sweepstakes. Facebook has some very specific rules about these types of contests, which can be found in their page guidelines. Once you have your contest set up, be sure to advertise it. Many people will put a fair amount of their budget towards this goal, since the results are often so good.
Offer Special Benefits
You have probably seen pages that ask you to click like to get special offers, deals, coupons and codes to use when shopping. This can be done by any page that wants to limit their better content for people who have liked their page. This works by putting an air of exclusivity around your account, while also enticing them to take a lot at what you have to offer.
Ask For User Content
A lot of contests these days ask for user generated contest as entries. But you can ask for content even without providing it as a contest. People love to see their work posted and appreciated. They are also likely to share it with their friends, and have their friends share it out, as well. Which increases your visibility and ups your chances of getting a fresh stream of likes.

I have avoided FB and twitter like the plague- but I think I am going to have to succumb and learn how to engage with it. Thanks for this useful post. I am a bit nervous about contests though…
Contest always work in attracting new people, but don’t scam them as you’ll lose any credibility.
1. You can use online tools that will increase FB likes in an instant, but using tools to increase FB likes isn’t reliable because you don’t get genuine likes.
2. Share good content so that you’ll get natural likes from people who have read/browse your content.
3. You can also advertise on FB
4. Get many friends and share your content with them, it’s social networking anyway
