Internet Marketing Strategies – Developing High Powered Backlinks
Internet marketing is a constantly changing world, so the best thing anybody can do is stay up to date on the latest strategies and techniques if they really want to make an impact in their business. Some of the best internet marketing strategies that were around five years ago aren’t worth anything these days, but for every technique that falls out of style a new one takes it place. These are some of the current top strategies for internet marketing that you can use to take your business or product to the next level.
The Core of SEO
Search Engine Optimization has been around for a long time, but just like everything else it continues to evolve with every passing year. That being said, incoming backlinks remain one of the most effective strategies for increasing your website’s ranking in the search engines. For anyone who isn’t familiar with the term, a backlink is a hyperlink placed on another website that directs viewers back to your site. Google grades these based on two criteria:
a) the strength of the website on which the backlink is placed
b) the relevancy of the content around the backlink, including the anchor text
The second criteria is arguably the most important, because placing a link into irrelevant content will result in penalties no matter how well that website is ranked. For example, say someone has a website about 4×4 Jeep tires, and that person wants to put out a backlink on another website that deals with tips for making your garden grow in the winter. It’s obvious that there’s no relevancy between the two topics, and so that backlink would not benefit the original website owner, and at the worst he would be penalized for attempting to use “sneaky” SEO tactics.
On the other hand, if that same backlink was placed onto a forum discussing auto performance upgrades, it would end up as a benefit, and that’s where the website’s strength comes into play. Google and other search engines give every website a “value” rating. If a particular website gets a lot of traffic and already ranks well in the search engines, that website has a high value, or strength. As a result, any links leading off-site to other websites have more strength as backlinks.
Putting These Strategies Into Action
In order to make these internet marketing strategies work, the best technique is of course to look for websites that have a high PageRank. Since most normal websites won’t allow you to just go onto their site and post links, the best thing to do is search for two things: forums and blogs.
Forums are simple ways to develop high powered backlinks. You would create an account and then edit your signature to include a link to your website. Every post you make in the forum will include the link from that point on. Blogs are simple as well; perform a search for relevant blogs and then leave comments on the posts. Just make sure that the blog allows do-follow links (warning: no spamming please!).

The internet and SEO will be ever-changing but the same principles will always apply. Backlinks will probably stay for a very longtime. Blogs and forums are good but mix it up with social bookmarking and get heavily involved in social media as this a great tool to build links and creates that “search signal”.

Just install search status add on in your mozila firefox browser and activate the option which shows that links are no follow or do follow.

Some get tips. Backlinks=ranking. This is s good start. You can find many tactics on line for creating quality back links.
I agree with your post. People are better off focusing on getting strong, relevant backlinks instead of trying to blast away comments to hundreds of sites using various software. One good backlink can be worth a hundred bad links.

Good tips but I wonder about the second point … relevant pages.. Wouldn’t a competitor be able to damage a sites ranking by linking to irrelevant sites? I am forever learning about backlinks and always thought a link, is a link, is a link.

Good points are mentioned about the back links. As mentioned above, if we can improve the number of back links, then we can easily get good results for our website. It is also useful in improving the traffic and page rank.

I would agree that having high powered backlinks would help the website but I think that even with out the backlinks results can be achieved.
Agree with you that relevancy is core point of seo.without Relevancy we cannot get desired result.
