View How Keywords Are Performing by Segmenting Them with Adwords Tools
The following tip was contributed by Chelsea Blacker.
Segmenting keywords is one of many exciting developments of the new Adwords interface. For instance, you can view how keywords are performing by segmenting them by CTR, quality score, and 14 other measurements! This gives you a clearer picture on how keywords are performing based on a variety of stats.

Every online marketer knows experimenting with match types leads to better optimized campaigns, and now within the keywords tab it’s easier than ever to find out how your experimenting is going. Select “Segment by search terms match type”:

And reap the results to figure out which keywords in your campaign offer up the best opportunities.

Looks like phrase match should be paused in the above example.

@alanmitchell thanks, so the example in this blog is kind of misleading. http://tinyurl.com/ou3dn6 Can’t pause one type within a keyword.
That is a great little feature that I hadn’t noticed before. Thanks for showing how it works!
Great feature and looks like it could be handy. Will have to look at it in more depth and thanks for sharing this information.
Your conclusion from your last example is scary – pause the phrase-match keywords after only 16 impressions? This is far too tiny a sample to use for decision-making!

Sure the same size should be increased, but I think Ann was using this as a merely theoretic example. The point is that segmentation between exact, phrase, and broad can make ppc campaigns all the more effective.
I haven’t seen this before, thanks for the insight!!!

This is a simple explanation. We are trying to learn more about running a more effective PPC campaign and out of everything I read today this is information we can actually put into use now. Thanks.
Google adword and Google adsense is really an amazing tool to deeply observe website. Great feature. Thanks
How do you pause one match type within a keyword? I am lost. Thanks for any help!
Something to think about. Really great article thanks for sharing.
Nice little feature! Adwords is something I’ve been telling myself I will eventually get around to working with but I’m still yet to use one of the many free coupons I’ve received over the years!
never use adword before… but thanks great guidance for me
Good example of optimized campaign. Thanks for good information.
