The Only SEO Tip You Need to Boost Your Blog’s Opt-in Rate!
If you have an opt-in form on your blog home page designed to build a mailing list and following here is a really cool SEO tip for getting more targeted traffic to your offer.
The Blog homepage has way too many exit points and distractions. Granted we want the visitor to see our unique content and then sign up as a result, but why give them that option?
If you offer a unique free gift and your sales copy is compelling enough, then they will sign up and you will have achieved your objective. Once you start emailing them they will be able to link to your blog and see the value after you have already added them to your mailing list, so its a win win situation.
So how do you optimize this opt in process then? Simple, you create a second page for your opt in form and free gift offer and you simply place an image link to this page/offer above the fold on your blog.
There are numerous advantages to this, the main one being that you can create a keyword rich page name for this offer, thus increasing inhouse SEO. But that’s not all, and this is where it gets fun…
You now have a separate page (yourdomain.com/amazingoffer) which you can drive traffic to directly, but more importantly, you have a page that you can drive LINKS to.
If you don’t know the tremendous advantage this will ultimately have use the information provided at dailyseotips to learn more about the processes and advantages to quality inbound links, but needless to say – creating a separate page for your offer is a really clever way to increase direct targeted traffic and ultimately conversions.

Do you have an example of how this looks. I checked out your own site (mentioned in the post), but it doesn’t have this implemented.
Unless I’m really missing something, it seems that you don’t practice what you preach! Can you share an example of this either on your site or someone else’s? Thanks!
Yes, this is certainly the best tip to boost blog’s opt in Rate! Although this is a known tip, many bloggers don’t make the best use of it! Most of them fail as they design the page on wrong placement and low quality(in terms of value of their product or description)!
Web yaz?l?m firmas? olan rakiplerimizi ararken google blog searchte sizin sitenizle kar??la?t?m. Çok güzel bir payla??m olmu?. Te?ekkür ederim.
Yes tell me about it! Practicing what I preach is something I need to learn about, but in the interim, no I do not have any email signups on my blog as at at this early stage it is quite literally just that – a web log of my efforts to make money online. So far my minisite business model and numerous squeeze pages are doing a good job of building my lists and my online income, but my blog is my attempt to build a brand, and until I have something genuinely unique and valuable to offer, I dont want to muddy the waters that alexwhalley.com might potentially float in. Make sense.
yes it does, but posting on seo tips without this implemented at all was probably pretty stupid in hindsight
Thanks for all your feedback and comments, even if I did have to go to german school briefly.
many bloggers don’t make the best use of it!
